A Message From Rick
Dear Fellow Peachtree City Residents,
Peachtree City is an amazing place to live. I am thankful to God for this little slice of heaven. The quality of life of our little town is envied by many cities across the US.
Peachtree City is rich in culture and tradition. Attractions such as The Fred, Line Creek Park and the Night Market are great examples of the broad cultural options at our disposal. Events such as the Dragon Boat Race, the 4th of July Parade and fireworks, and the Annual Air Show are only a few examples of how tradition unites our community.
In order for Peachtree City to thrive well into the future, it is imperative that we change our approach to governing. For the past several administrations, we have had similar types of leaders, with similar ideas and thought processes. Unfortunately, this style of governing has allowed Peachtree City to become stagnate while neighbors like Tyrone and Newnan have flourished.
We need new leaders with fresh perspectives, innovative ideas and a new approach to managing our city. We need leaders with diverse experience from large corporations across multiple lines of business.
I am that leader. I am a strategic leader that possesses vision, strong leadership skills and a wealth of business acumen. Before going into ministry full time, I acquired 30 years of leadership in the areas of Finance, Technology and Organizational Transformation.
My experience includes:
- At 27 years old, I managed $500,000,000 in managed assets for Wachovia Bank
- I managed software and database development for a couple financial services firms
- I had responsibility for BOA's ecommerce plaform (online banking). In my 3.5 year tenure, we experienced 0.00%
- As a Sr Consultant with Accenture, I led global implementations for our largest clients. As a consultant, you must be an expert in your domain. Companies do not hire you to come in with questions. They hire you to resolve issues and provide direction for the future.
Having served in leadership roles with some of the worlds largest companies, I will leverage my experience to resolve current issues, bring structure to the Council, clearly define and publish the Council's objectives and to develop a strategic plan that will ensure Peachtree City thrives for decades.
